Tender Writing

Tender writing can be a time consuming exercise.  Many tender applications and processes are complex and require extensive responses.  It can be quite difficult to present your business in the most effective way.

In addition, most businesses don’t have the staff available or the expertise to write a proposal capable of getting through the first round of assessment in a tender evaluation required to win a government or commercial tender.

We usually run a tender writing project in three stages:

1. Scope.  We review the Request for Tender (RFT) to understand the requirements, and review what information is available and what has to be developed.  We then meet with you to discuss the requirements and how the tender response will be designed.
2. Draft the tender response.  We will prepare a draft and call on you for information as required.  We keep you closely information of progress and developments through this phase.
3. Review.  Before being presented to you for final approval and submission the tender response is reviewed at two levels – firstly for technical alignment, and secondly for overall presentation. 

We often allocate a team of people to ensure the process works smoothly and nothing is overlooked.  The main role is the tender writer, who works closely with you from the beginning to collate information and draft the tender response.  When the document is nearing completion is it reviewed by a second tender writer for technical alignment with the RFT, and finally the third member of the team formats the document and updates it to ensure it is presented in the best possible manner.

This process is simple, yet effective and well managed.  Working with a team ensures the document is checked and double checked.
